If you are in Los Angeles area I would be happy to perform a bio-impedance analysis test for you alternatively you may have a DEXA screen for bone density that includes body fat testing and I can apply the BIA algorithms and find out exactly what is going on for you. Most women burn in the region of 1200 to 1400 calories at rest and under 1000 calories is unusual.

I have had my metabolic rate tested. Health South tested it several years ago and I burn 784 calories in 24 hours. I didn't believe it so had them do it again and it was the same. They put a mask over my nose to test it, since I couldn't use the other method. . They said it was the lowest they have ever tested in the United States.

I used to exercise 3 1/2 hours a day but now cannot do that, I have a knee problem. I have a severe underactive thyroid, even though I'm taking the correct amount and having my blood tested to insure that it is balanced and normal with the medicine I'm taking. Most women burn between 2500 and 3000 calories a day. I would have to exercise .3 1/2 or 4 hours just to get up to the rate they start at before they did ANY exercise. People do not believe me and think I can go on a diet and lose weight. I cannot. I would have to get below 780 to lose.

I wish I could complete the questionaire on the DNA diet if at all possible.

I used to be on Weight Watchers for 18 years, but that was when my metabolism was normal. I have gone on it since and have not been able to lose since it is mostly based on a 1500-2000 calorie a day program, even though it is points. The WW instructor told me I didn't need to waste the money, since I couldn't lose the weight. My problem is not eating a whole lot of excess food. I would be a survivor in a famine.

When I graduated from High School I weighed 98 lbs and was a size 3.

I would be a good specimen to be used as a difficult/near impossible to lose weight, or be used on a clinical study. I am 65 years old, 5'3" and weigh 234 lbs, I used to exercise so much I have a lot of muscles underneath the fat. Please forward this to whoever would like to help and/or read it, OK!!
